Mind Games On My Trip To London
Dear Friend, I’m so excited to share this experience with you. I went on a trip to London for the first time. It was a great trip and I learned a lot while I was there. The plane ride over is quite long. It was an 11-hour flight and I had a layover in Los Angeles for approximately three hours.
Once I arrive in London, I heard my name being called over the loud speaker.
The message was to meet one of the security personnel at the gate door. My first thought was, what do they want with me? Was there a problem? Isn’t it interesting to see how our minds automatically go toward the negative? I got to the end of the gate and exited the door and there was a man in uniform waiting for me. He said follow me. I thought ok.
Then I asked him, why am I getting a personal escort? He replied, I don’t know. I was just told to come get you and bring you downstairs. Now my mind started racing with stuff like, what’s going on here? What did I do to deserve this? What’s going to happen to me? Why do they want to take me downstairs? What’s downstairs anyway?
At that moment, I told my mind, thanks for sharing now shut up. I knew this was just my mind playing tricks on me. The man escorting me was friendly but he never could tell me why I was being escorted. We talked all along the way and he got me through customs very quickly while everyone else had to wait in this really long line. I was pretty happy about that. In fact I really liked that. Have you ever had to wait in customs? It usually takes a long time and when you’re tired and jet lagged it’s not a lot of fun. More on Mind Games On My Trip To London
