What The Heck Am I Going To Do In Chicago?
It’s time again that I visit my family and friends back up in Chicago. It’s been a while and that’s ok. Don’t get me wrong; I love my family and friends. It’s just that they don’t provide the support an Entrepreneur requires in order to be successful or stay successful.
I’ve explained this before and it’s always good to have a reminder about why it’s important to have the right support and mindset as an Entrepreneur.
It’s tough enough to succeed especially when you’re first starting out in your own business. There will always be Nay Sayers and it’s usually the people closest to you. It’s not because they don’t want you to succeed, it’s because they love you.
Now that’s a strange way of showing love isn’t it?
What’s really happening here is they are attempting to protect you from getting hurt.
That’s right. They don’t want you to get hurt. That’s why they attempt to stop you from getting into something they perceive as being risky i.e. your business.
Now that you understand their motivation you can understand that blaming them is absolutely the wrong thing to do. It’s not their fault; they are doing this out of ignorance. They love you so much but don’t know that they are actually hurting your ability to be a successful Entrepreneur.
If they actually understood what they were doing to you, they would quit doing it immediately. But they don’t. That’s the challenge.
My family and friends are the same way and that’s why I choose to keep my time limited with them. I do look forward to spending time with them just less of it.
Let me give you an example…
The other day I talked to my parents when I was setting up my trip. They were both happy that I was coming and they were looking forward to it. A few minutes into the conversation, I started hearing all the negative talk about the economy and how bad things are and about all the crocked rich people and how they take advantage of the little people.
Now I don’t know about you but with talk like this how can you possibly want to be and Entrepreneur let alone wealthy?
You don’t, if you want to fit in.
As an Entrepreneur you don’t want to fit into the crowd. Because if you’re attempting to fit in with the crowd, you’re going to be sadly disappointed. You’ll never become wealthy. People who follow the crowd are sheep and generally will never become wealthy.
Instead you must do things opposite of everyone else in order to succeed.
That’s what Entrepreneurs do. They think 180 degrees different than everyone else. This is why most Entrepreneurs seem like they don’t fit into the everyday crowd. I know I don’t fit into the old crowd I used to hand out with anymore. And by the way, that’s a good thing.
Trust me you don’t want to fit in to the crowd. It just keeps you broke.
A good example of this is what happens in the stock market. You can see this every single time. When a stock gets hot and it’s in the news everywhere and you start to hear everyone talking about buying that stock.
When you start hearing hot stock tips from your neighbors and the postman it’s too late.
What happens is this. All of sudden there is a big buying frenzy from all the people who don’t have a clue about buying stocks because they got a hot tip from the dog catcher who’s making $20,000 a year. They buy up as much as they can and all the while the crowd is buying the big institutional buyers are quietly selling taking profits.
Then all of sudden the crowd is sitting there with a bunch of worthless stock.
After this happens, you’ll hear the crowd saying how bad it is to buy stocks and how they got burned. Have you ever heard this before?
Did you ever say this yourself?
It really doesn’t matter. What matters is this; you must understand that as an Entrepreneur you don’t ever want to follow the crowd. That’s why you much change your mindset which is the first step to success.
To effectively change your mindset you must have the right tools. That’s why it’s essential that you get my best selling book Wealth Without a Job. It has 32 different methods that will help you change your mindset to get you through the rough times.
That’s what I’m doing right now preparing for my trip to Chicago. I am preparing my mind so that the negativity coming from my family and friends will be minimized.
Yes, I really do use my own material. That’s why I’m so insistent that you Get Your Copy of Wealth Without A Job Now so you can do the same thing. I know the methods work otherwise I wouldn’t even bother telling you about it.
As an Entrepreneur you must succeed before you go broke. And that’s why anything I teach you has already gone through two tests which I personally do. First it must work. And second it must work fast. If any method does not pass both criteria it gets thrown out. I don’t use it and I won’t ask anyone else to use it either.
Go ahead and Write a Comment and let me know if you have any unsupportive family and friends that don’t believe in what you’re doing. I want to hear about your experiences. Most importantly I want to hear about how you used what you learned to get through it.
I really look forward to reading your comments. So go ahead and Write Your Comment Now while you’re thinking about it.
I’ve got to run for now. I’ll keep you posted as to how my trip to Chicago goes.
Until next time…
To Your Success,
