Weekend Getaway Is Essential For Entrepreneurs To Grow Stronger

This weekend I went away to Camp Verde, Arizona. It was a little get away trip from my wife and I. We went for 4 days and it was great. Nothing but rest and relaxation. After working really hard for a while it is best to get away and relax. Get away from everything you have been doing. I know for me, I love my work so much I could do it 16 hours a day, 7 days a week.

But guess what? That’s not healthy! I find that I am much more productive when I take some time off. And more importantly I take time away from everything. Let me explain… When I went to Camp Verde there was no TV, no Internet, no nothing except nature. We were camped along the Verde river which was flowing quite well. By the way, the big joke here in Arizona is our rivers. Many rivers here have no water except when the 40 year flood comes of course.

This river actually had water. It was so peaceful to sit there, watch the water flowing over the rocks and listen to the rushing sounds. There were birds all over the place just singing away. And lot’s of wildlife to watch. It was so peaceful that it was easy for me to unwind. Now that I’m back to the office I am fresh and ready to go. My mind is so clear that it’s easy to come up with solutions and new ideas.

Because Entrepreneurs get paid to solve problems and be creative it’s important that we get away from the daily routine and relax. Make sure you take some time each month to get away and relax. You will see what a difference it makes in your life. I’ve also discovered that the less I work the more money I make. That’s because you will make more money when you are relaxed and rejuvenated.
